SACES Definition and Guidance for Sessions |
Content Sessions are a traditional 50-minute presentation-style sessions where the presenter(s) deliver material to an audience. Typically, presenters use PowerPoint/slides to present the information through the projector. SACES will provide one LCD projector/screen combo in each content presentation room. The presenter is responsible for any additional A/V needs (e.g., VGA/HDMI adapters, Internet access, DVD/CD players, televisions). Presenters will make their presentation and related handouts available to participants in CE-Go within one week of the conference and adhere to the Presenter Guidelines for Accessibility and Inclusion below. | Poster Sessions are a visual, research-focused format where presenters display their work on a poster (rather than presenting slides) and discuss it one-on-one or in small groups with attendees who walk through. These run 25 minutes. Poster presenters will not have access to HDMI ports or projectors and presenters must bring their own posters. | Roundtable sessions are smaller, more informal, discussion-driven sessions lasting 50 minutes. This discussion format includes the presenter sharing information, preferably via printed handouts for 8 to 10 participants, depending on the interest in the topic. Roundtables will not have access to HDMI ports or projectors. If not interested in printing the handouts or wanting to ensure all participants have access to the information, presenters will make their presentation and related handouts available to participants in CE-Go within one week of the conference and adhere to the Presenter Guidelines for Accessibility and Inclusion below. |
